Microsoft 365 vs Google Workspace questions
Microsoft 365 is built around full desktop applications, while Google Workspace is built browser-first. Microsoft 365 centres on Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook with deep enterprise security and admin controls, and Google Workspace centres on real-time collaboration in Gmail, Docs, Sheets and Meet with simpler administration. Both include business email, cloud storage, video meetings and mobile apps.
For teams that depend on complex Excel work, installed Office apps or Windows-centric line-of-business software, Microsoft 365 is the better fit. For browser-first teams that collaborate in real time, use Macs or Chromebooks, and want minimal administration, Google Workspace is the better fit. Entry-tier pricing is close enough that the decision should be made on how the team works, not on price.
