Nonprofit technology questions
Yes. AMEA provides managed IT services for South African nonprofits and NGOs on the same fixed monthly basis as for businesses: monitoring, patching, staff support, Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace administration, backup and security. The difference is that AMEA first secures every technology grant the organisation qualifies for, so licences cost little or nothing and the budget goes on support instead.
Eligible nonprofits can access free and discounted technology from Microsoft, Google, Adobe, Canva, Zoom and others, including the Google Ad Grant of up to 10,000 US dollars per month in advertising credits. AMEA helps NPOs qualify for, deploy and secure these tools.
Microsoft retired its free Business Premium grant on 1 July 2025. The free tier is now Microsoft 365 Business Basic (web and mobile only). Business Premium with desktop apps is available to nonprofits at a heavy discount.
